The FL2051 update focuses on the upcoming Squad Select Series (S3 #106 - December Of Doom), and also has updates to the Lancasters.
Please note that the Ki-43-II is still using an old flightmodel, and will be revised during 2018.

A turn rate test at sea level has been added to the above post.

Any chance of getting the flap settings altered for the hurri?
I believe the system was infinitely variable was it not? t was a bit complicated to learn, but the flaps could be halted at any point in the 'down' hydraulic cycle. So an initial setting of 20 degrees adds quite a bit more drag than should a small deployment (e.g 10 degrees) would. Flaps generally add more lift than drag until they deploy past 15 or 20 degrees.
The poor old hurribus needs all the hep it can get!

Same is true for the F6F.
The 109 has infinitely variable flaps too, but they are controlled by a wheel, which is both good- as it's right next to the trim wheel- and bad- as it can be slow and difficult to operate at speeds above cruise.

You should update and test fly the new Hurricane I, sir ;). It now has 10°, 30°, 60° and 80° flaps. The 80° setting is mostly extra drag compared to the 60° setting.

The F4F's and F6F flightmodels do not have small angle flap settings available. The reason is that in real life the pilot could only chose "down" or "up". He could not freely select an angle like with the "up-neutral-down" system of the Hurricane or the hand wheel of a Bf 109. The flaps of the Hellcat/Wildcat instead operated based on airspeed when in the "down" setting, with the angle being a result of how fast the airplane was flying (wind force). This can unfortunately not be simulated with the game code, but at least the pilot could not use them similar to "combat flaps" in real life.

<S> and sending my best wishes for the surgery and for a speedy recovery, sir!

I noticed in one of the recent updates, changes were made to the chase view..I don't know what chase view is in wb's (not in the view selection when setting up your control buttons.) but in other sims I've played it is an external view for air combat..If it is the same for wb's then why not delete it.. This is a flight sim. If someone turns under your nose, then you must roll, turn, and find where he went. Your view is obscured by the windscreen, cockpit, and air frame. If you want to be the most realistic flight sim, then make it realistic. I have got in fights where I am looking at their belly and yet they know where I am.. it can only be because they are in an external view... Maybe wb's chase view is different, but if it can be used in combat then this is totally unreal for those of us wanting a realistic sim.. If no external view can be use for combat then I must reevaluate my flying skills.. In S-3's there is no external view and some flyers in the main will not fly S-3's... this may be the cause..they can't fly without external view. Just thinking...

I've tried to download the latest update for Mac, but as soon as the download starts it freezes and quits to desktop. I've tried to do the download for a couple of days now.

Any word on a fix?

Location: What you think, you become. What you feel, you attract. What you imagine, you create.
^^^ What Bollok says.

Yay! The update worked! THANKS!!!!

I went to the Warbirds app, control-clicked on it and chose "Show Package Contents" and went to the "Resources" folder. Scrolled down and double-clicked the "IEN Updater" app.

Everything's working. YAY!
