How did you do it without the psd files?
I could tell you but you know I'd have to kill you .................. JK
I used the VFILE program and extracted the .tga files for fuse and wing from the current
ppv/fw190d folder: fw190d_4.VFC. Red stripes are a bitch.
It is hard without the outline of the fuse and wing, so a lot of guessing where things are.
3 layers for Tan, Green and Brown. A lot of moving up and down until they are where they need to be.
I traced lines and rivets from the old skin onto 2 layers on my new skin.
It helps a LOT to be able to paint in Photoshop and save fuse and wing as .tga AND for the .planeskin command to work, sometimes it doesn't work.
Copy the targas into the
skins/offline/Brown190 folder. Fly in Warbirds and notice whatever I just did in Photoshop. Adjust or make changes/repeat.
I'd say It has taken me about 12 hours so far (only for the fuse). The wing will take about the same. Sometimes I get lucky and someone has the old PSD files.
Check out my Facebook page and you can see before and after images of work on this fuse.
