Look at the sky and terrains too.

I'm 67 years old and don't have enough years to learn to be this good. I'm ready to give up!

Well, if you are not good, then who is? I admire your skills.

BUMPING this thread

Just making a comment that the new game 3D artist needs to ...

1. make sure there is a detailed pilot in the cockpit (able to be painted too). Can those without pilots be fixed?
2. make sure the cockpit glass is visible as shown on my Facebook page.
3. make the spinning propeller visible on all planes.

Bollok, didn't you do some work a while back on getting the spinning propeller to be visible?

Funny how -sakai is interested in the summer sun ... is it a rising sun?

Bollok wrote way back when ...

Quote:
plane.mat
Defines what texture names to look at (wing/fuse/prop)
usually is set up to "include" the below 2 files.

plane.v3m
Here you can adjust the properties for glass and other plane parts

plane_2.v3m
Seems to be basically a copy of above - here you can also adjust the properties for glass.

Last night as a test, I copied the P51 glass settings to the Spit 14.vfc

There was more of a smokey type glass canopy effect using the p51 glass settings but it did not fix the issue of the "rotating reflection" that seems to be synched to the prop spinning.

I didn't want to waste too much time on it by doing trial and error as it was getting late.

Summer solstice, midsummer, is the longest day or other way around, the shortest night of the year. Still considered perhaps the biggest celebration in Nordic countries and has been it thousands of years, during the time of Odin and Ukko. Especially in Finland it's difficult to find a sober person at midsummer eve night.

And now full steam into the autumnal equinox.

Ample time has been allotted for an update on the Microprose deal. 'Twas vaporware.

Very disappointing, Herr Stealy.

I'm very disappointed as well... but if it's not coming, it won't be because WildBill intentionally 'vapourwared it'. You only have to talk to the man once to see how much he loves this game.
I'm not quite prepared to give up hope. Either they're working on it on their own- and IEN has ONE programmer who's already overworked, or Bill is working hard in the background trying to find a way to make a new version happen with or without the new Microprose.

Winter solstice in a few days.

Who knew the clairvoyance of WB2020 would mimic the chit show that IS 2020.
