Easy to fix with settings, revert to the old settings, with shorter rebuild times, more troops required for capture, fewer troops load, ToT settings, blast radius\pinpoint change, and losing .dfuse(some of these changes pre-date the issue, but became enablers when coupled). Pretty much everything done to thwart said behavior has had little to no effect on that issue, apparently; and has actually, with all the additions of targets, ack, futzing with the above settings, increasing target hardness, etc.; also limited guys in low number environments ability to close and capture(another concern voiced which.

In VR, sometimes unreality works better to simulate reality than reality.

Field capture has become a silly type of gameplay. IMHO Just look at the top of this page.

; maybe it should be changed to The Best Field capture game. Of course it does keep the same 20 players in the Main. That said if that's going to be the game, then let's go all the way back to when a closed field becomes neutral and any side can capture it.

What you posted is very true though.

Not trying to be an ahole Panama, but the game is silly now as it stands.

I quite agree about the evolution of silly. One of the reasons I quit flying over a decade ago, and quit arguing against the silliness being perpetrated about 5 or 6 ago.

There were screenshots posted on here awhile ago that I said looked like a B-17 remake. With full VR this will be awesome, and hopefully a portent of what the future Warbirds bomber experience will be.

You start with a new concept and then build a game around it, not build a game and then spend years try to find a new concept that works for it, as we have now..

The original concept and settings worked pretty well. Most of the losses earlier on were driven by stagnation. Things done in the name of making things more realistic and\or to thwart a certain group have done nothing but degrade the experience. Early losses were almost all due to a very long period of stagnation, later losses(vets) and failure to encourage newbs to stay, can be largely attributed to the actions taken over the last decade that were more detrimental than beneficial, and actually benefited the very game that was the target of remediation. Not all was bad, but that most were has pretty much proven that to be the case.

It would be interesting to have a survey directed to WB vets, hardcores and oldtimers. When did WB lose your interest? What points were the deal-breakers? How as a company did WBs let you down? Stuff like that. Its hard to be critical and supportive as well. All of us old-guys love the shyte out of this game. We are talking 20 years plus of game play. Everyone here wants the best for these types of MMO historical simulations. Wildbil in particular. We rant and rave but its because we have had such great experiences over the years and feel sad when it fades away.

So how do we get it back? What makes your mojo go? What is addictive so you spend hours playing with your friends? How do we recall the glory days? A MMO game that has nothing to do with zerg attacks, grinding for no reason and fantasy matchups that would never occur in a historic version of history.

So many good ideas, opinions and point of view from guys that have been playing digital games for ten years and more.
