Anything more than 60 FPS will not make you a better pilot or give your PC magic properties. The net with all the routers, pathways, trunk lines, congestion are the cause of most problems. It isn't necessary your opponents connect, but can also be yours. Your PC could also have many programs running in the background that you have no clue how they effect the game. It would be great if someone knew what programs need to be running for windows operate properly and which ones could be deleted/turned off.

A guy in classic sees zero trees, therefore your in plain site, meanwhile the reg wb player CANNOT see you ...cause he is in trees

That might also explain why I thought I was (with JU88) chasing ghosts, which were shelling my base; gunners were regularly telling about enemy tanks but I could see no trace of them in plain desert landscape, from height of 200 meters. But in air there are no trees to hide in and lately had similar experience about ghost bombers. Could it be because of "two dimensions" in virtual world?

Sleepy/ Well I was under the impression that the trees and the clouds were not the same on everyones FE.. There have been times where I have hidden under a group of trees in a tank not firing to give my position away and then been dropped on and kaboomed leaving me to wonder how they saw me. Figured what they were seeing compared to what I was thinking they seeing were 2 different things,..

Regardless, Prime has denied using classic and if the only advantage turns out to be the trees, this does not explain how it makes one a better pilot as Grumpy states..

Mirlox, Vorlox, Novalox. whatever. Why dont you explain why YOU feel Prime is flying Classic after he has repeatedly denied it? You complain alot on 100 about everyone who defeats you only being able to do so due to some miracle advantage they have rather than superior skills. If your preferred style is to BnZ then run away, chances are you will be out guessed by a good pilot and defeated. You accused me of being warpy last night because you couldnt defeat me or even land one shot of your 190 on me as I put a few holes in you but we left it as a draw.. .. so you blamed that on me being warpy which nobody else verified when asked.
Maybe just put a sock in it and learn to fly a bit better. This will make all warps and cheats disappear. I promise!!

Pak you are right. Just like puffy clouds, trees are only on the players front end. Trees are a clutter variable that is set in each terrain. And just like clouds you can fly right through them. They are good to help players know when they are really close to the ground but have flickering issues that generally make them distracting. In the old classic mode you could actually decide where to place clutter with a clutter map but in the regular WB mode is just a random variable based upon the incline of the terrain.
Looking over the new Titan IM engine things are going to be so much better on the ground, on the sea and in the air. Realistic terrain seen the same on all frontends. Finally we will be able to fly through real clouds or run away and hide in the bushes.

Games now put limits on the Ultra low quality settings and any perceived advantages for spotting and targeting are taken seriously by developers otherwise the name calling gets out of hand.

Classic mode only works well in the older maps.
I've never seen any advantage to it other than in the Ardennes where it removes trees GV's could hide in.
In the next version, of course, it will be moot.
I get awfully tired of the crap on 100. The guys that get accused of cheating? It's all BS. I've flown with all of them for many years. With and against. I've NEVER believed any of them would hack the game, even if they could.
I will continue to defend them on whatever channel or side I'm on.
Oscar, Prime, Jlord, knuckr and host of others abused on 100;
I wish I could fix it. I can't, but you have my support.

2 weeks!

Another newbie trying to figure out why a bomb landed on his head. I told gasted I would record and post on the same sortie I bombed his tank to show I had trees. He thought I was in classic mode. I wish I was recording when I dropped the bomb.
