The first stitches of the latest surgery went in several years ago, but the patient does not appear to be improving. And at this point, it seems very likely that the deficiency is ocular.

Should be easy to see which maps consistently attract the most players and which dont. Just use those numbers to decide which ones to put in rotation and which to shelve.

I will point out again that when the numbers are low (like last night) this terrain can leave you 60 miles away from the closest airfield to the action, which by the time you have flown there is either over or has moved to a new location 80 miles from your current location. Tons of Tank villages/outposts for tanks, but once again, by the time you tank there, its over. Some villages have an airstrip but for some reason there is only one aircraft available and you cant choose it. Seems to usually be a 109 and only one small bomber too.. At least give us a choice out of two..

For gestxxx pilots who are demo-ing this game to decide if they want to subscribe it gives the appearance of a sim that isnt very popular and not much fun when you have to fly 60 miles as a beginner just to have your ass shot down and wash, rinse, repeat. saw this a few times . Everybody gangs up on the only con in the area and its a newbie who gets gang raped and leaves..

If you decide to grey out half the huge map to make it smaller then you are in essence agreeing that this just proves the point smaller terrains offer more concentrated action and less down time en route to the action.. I'm sure lotsa peeps are tired of the older terrains but which is better for the game? Things that appeal to newer and average pilots or things that appease older established ones? Like I said, look at the numbers and go with the ones that are the most populated. IMHO as usual..

Exactly the crux of the biscuit, it's been predominately the latter being done, while not comprehending(apparently) how irrelevant most of it is to newbs. Also generally speaking, pretty girls get ask to go steady more than homely ones, no matter personality.

I still like the fights at the quad; as for the atoll, for gaming fun, it's hard to beat the hardfought battles between 24 and 25.
But with judicious map editing, there's no reason we couldn't have as much fun on the newer prettier maps. BUt let's not throw out playable maps- even if they are dull for the vets- until we have the newer maps in more playable form.
New players have a tough enough time without spending a hour finding a fight in which they die immediately.

Of all the maps currently in rotation, Greece is my favorite. I wish they would put Tobruk, Crimea, and the big ETO map in rotation. With the ETO and Tobruk maps, they would need to increase the rebuild time to an hour for all targets. The battle area seems to be the same if the map is big or small, The front lines is where the action is, not the 90% of a big map that is in the rear areas. Those areas only come into play when one side pushes the front lines that way. The reset repeat maps are extremely stale. With the big maps, you can see progress daily and newly contested areas are almost like flying a new map. Also, the big maps don't have the cookie cutter, one pass close fields.


I don't care to much for the limited mid-war and late war plane set. All the free account people can't fly fighters because they only have early war planes available to them which aren't enabled on this map.
