Howdy All;-))

Just A Little Family History.
My Dad Died When I Was 12 yrs Old. He Never Said To Much About The War.

After He Died His Major Sent The Family A Letter... Great Read!

So Back To Bougainville...

Dad Was A SeaBee Attached To The 3rd Marine Div.
1942 Till End Of War!
He Helped Build Airstrips & Roads. All Up And Down The Islands.
So When We Fly These Maps.... Thank SeaBees.. For All Them Fine Air Strips!

Major Had Many Funny Stories I Never Heard Before! Peace.
Dad Wasn't Much Of A Talker About The War.
Great Day To All!!!! NetNut;-)))

Pretty cool Netnut <S> to you and your dad
The Seabees did an amazing job turning those jungles into airstrips.
I had a lot of fun using Google Earth to find them and collecting images while researching the Solomons and New Guinea.
