Location: What you think, you become. What you feel, you attract. What you imagine, you create.
The small update for the new game play Pak?

If that's what your talking about I'm pretty sure it was a new map and the set-up for the new style of game play.

I guess I'll have one last go of it in the new map.

Finn,

Glad to see you back. While you were away; the few of us left in FM team rebuilt the 190 series, Mustang series and the P-47 series. Changed some handling characteristics on quite a few other air frames including the 109's. Strange we spent many hours to make better FM's trying to get a good fidelity to data and then comes the air starts. The rest of the change in game play isn't such a problem with me, but I detest air starts PERIOD.

It gives the quake players a tingle down their legs I'm sure. Imagine being able to fly, bomb, strafe and die even quicker to close airfields much faster than the old game play and that kind of behavior was a turn off then. It's a real huge turn off for me with the new improved "game play".

I want to see it much harder to close bases, not easier. That's just me though, so I really hope this attracts more new players to keep WB floating and then hopefully we'll get an arena where the big boys can play!

IMHO

Hello,

wrt to airstarts and not having enough fields with runways, there is now an update which honors an arena setting that treats the terrain the same as a runway/road in terms of the ground drag coefficiant, which means that any reasonably flat area can be used to takeoff and land.

So with the update you can land near any field, exit when <5000 ft from the center, and score a landing. This can also mean that eventually in a terrain like this we can do away with airstarts at any field which has a relatively flat spawn point, once most have the update (did not want to force it).

Thanks for participating and helping us with this new arena style which we are trying to gear more for a casual audience who wants quick action.

Note this is a per-arena setting so it only applies to the new Main.
