I'm building a custom spitfire joystick for my sims... Phil at Authentikit provides all the design files for free. He's trying to start a 'maker' community devoted to building controls for Flight simmers. The next project will be a throttle control and soon a trim wheel. Very nice to have these in VR- much easier to find than a button on a keyboard! Oh, and another chap is supplying ready made kits with all the wiring and electronics needed. There's a link for that on the Authentikit page.
Here's Phil's site: https://authentikit.org/
There's a discord page too- he has links to it on the main web page, but here's the URL for it if you'd like to check it out. Very helpful group! https://discord.com/invite/2nhxP4KD6b
I'm surprised at how inexpensive 3d printers are becoming, and how much fun it is to actually take stuff from an idea to a drawing to a 3d object to be printed.
Cheers

Things are ok. My health is stable and most days I feel pretty good. Once I get this new joystick completed, it might push me back into warbirds. I enjoy DCS, but there's never been a game I enjoyed as much as WB... at least as it used to be. And, frankly, it's still better than the competition in terms of maps and flight models imho. I'm still hoping for a new version with VR and a renaissance for WB in 2021.
Cheers guys

Here's a link to a VR youtuber unboxing a demo model of the stick and using it in FS2020.

I really think a full scale stick would be a huge advantage in precision flight control.
And... it's just so... cool!
