Hey Guys, Was forced to buy new Mac since the one I had for over 10 years had a harddrive issue. On Catalina 10.15.3 now Downloaded WB from scratch off the Totalsims website. It downloaded fine, and the first UI window opened up fine in full screen mode, but when I click to go to flight or join an arena it compresses the game view into the lower left corner (about 25% of size it should be, with most of the screen in black. And I can't select any options. I tried all configurations of screen resolution, full screen, etc, and it all gives me the same thing. Unplayable. Has anyone else come across this? Any suggestions? I tried to add a screen cap but with the comedy of errors since trying to configure this new mac all day and a keyboard only a Pigmy can operate, the forum won't let me add it. Says quota has been reached. I never add images. Par for the course today. Very frustrating day. Thanks, Swanee |

I think this probably goes back to the system pop up box that started showing up for me about a year ago when I finally had to buy a new Mac...that says something like, this program will not be supported in the future and needs updated. This is from Apple, not WBs. I reported it to ient and they said there was no problem on their machine but then admitted they were running it on a pretty old Mac and that they probably need to get a new Mac. I haven't been able to use the 'new' gv login for quite some time either, which seems to work fine on older Macs. I doubt anything will be done with the Mac version of WBs until they compile for the new version of WB's that may or may not be coming...we haven't heard anything about what is going on with it. Don't know what to tell ya, sorry. |

Does the installer package still come with the Classic exe? Maybe that would work? Just a thought.. |

Thanks guys. I have several old versions of the installer backed up. When I copy them to the new computer it gives me an icon with the circle cross out on it. It says I need a newer version of the updater for this OS and to contact developer. lol, we know where that stands. |

Is your new Mac bootable from say OS 10.14.5 or there about, from an external drive? That's what I'm running. <S> |

-- If new mac that came with 10.5.X high probability downgrading to 10.14.X a no-go. I make the assumption that this is an iMac or MacBook? Suggest: 1. Go into warbirds package (right click application view package) and remove the Setting folder to desktop. Try WB startup, see if any change at all. 2. If 1 a no-go, create new user (i assume you did a "migration" from old mac) in system preferences and launch from new user and attempt. if successful, then you have a piece of software conflicting 3. Sys 10.5.X is 64 bit ONLY. Unknown if WB loads 64 but pretty sure it does. Possible old code in sync? Know you have already tried diff resolutions, if have external monitor would be interesting if see if same on external. 4. Probable a WB update would be needed from what I read, I purposely use 10.14.6 for many reasons and WB is one of them. As has been said in other areas one can use Boot camp to run the windows version, at least until the ARM Macs take over. Juice |

G'day Swanee, I had exactly the same issue with my Mac. Downloaded the game but was stuck with bottom left hand corner on launch. I usually run the game on a PC but thought I would try the game while travelling over the next month or so, with my Mac. No joy. Looks as though Mac players are now "out of play". Best Mackar |
