Is there a separate radar for GV's and Aircraft at bases/posts?
Reason I ask is there seems to be some magical way that the radar from a base 15 miles away can detect my tank and begin hurling Ack at it, even though the dar height is 300 ft and I am in a crevice which should be undetectable and is for planes flying NOE.... Yet the ack fires and gives away my position to the NME and this makes it just about impossible to sneak up on a base/post to attack it. So, how can a radar see me through hills and valleys when i'm at ground level or NOE as the HUD likes to call it?..

At the very least, nothing should be able to see me until I get within level ground visual range of a base.

Its not the radar setting (which determines if you show up on the tower or inflight map views), but the ack settings for the arena. One of the guys who is CM trained could probably explain how it works and whether or not it can be set differently for GVs and aircraft.

ack picks up on bad guys within a certain range no matter their location, not aware of any way to differ between aircraft and gv's…...ya....kinda sucks but that's the way it is.....always ( if yu can) coordinate with airplanes to suppress ack...OR it fixes itself onto the closest enemy...it only seem to target 1 guy at a time...so if ya got friends nearby, and closer, it will target them
