Great to see Robert. Question... Will all the reworked FM's work as they do now in the new WB 2020 format? Asking just to confirm that this wont all have to be changed again once the new game is implemented. Thanks for all the hard work you guys.. |

The update is now live! I've also updated the first post with a few additions regarding new skins and P-51D rockets. <S> and thank you Pakrat! as far as I know the flightmodels should work as they do now in Warbirds 2020. Might be that there will be some improvements later. Cheers! /Robert |

There's some new code I'd love to have them write to correct a few things in the Fm that we don't have available with the code as it is now. We'll see what happens when I bring these to their attention. |

They are working hard to make sure existing physics will work the same with the new updated code, testing the physics engine as we speak.......thats the goal anyway |

Thank you Robert. I'm working on a new MiG-15 (default) skin. See an image here: https://www.facebook.com/30589876353377 ... =3&theater I have a painting question for anyone who knows the Russian planes. The MiG-15 skin I'm working on seems to only have 2 fuselage roundels, one on the left side and one on the right. Why did they not use wing roundels on some of their planes? I've seen some plane models with no top wing, but yes on the bottom wings. Here are some links that show no wing roundels on the MiG-15 ... http://soviet-aces-1936-53.ru/profile/zh/zameskin.htm http://soviet-aces-1936-53.ru/profile/s/siskov.htm https://ww2aircraft.net/forum/threads/d ... 451/page-2 https://ww2aircraft.net/forum/threads/d ... 50s.45451/ https://ww2aircraft.net/forum/threads/k ... ion.49531/ https://www.squadron.com/Eduard-1-72-Mi ... eu7423.htm There will soon be 4 MiG-15 skins, some Chinese and some Russian skins. Also, there might be 3 other F-86 skins, a Japanese, and an Iranian and another is a RAF "shark mouth". EDITED: Since no one had input on this particular skin, I left off the roundels on top and put the "clear" ones on the bottom. This is one of my favorite skins. I love the colors against the Europe terrain. It can be seen in better screenshots on my Facebook page, the best one is climbing upward into the high altitudes. Look for it.

I wonder about this part of the update: " Engine torque fix =-- The Bf 110's and P-38's will now have torque applied correctly from respective engine regarding yaw. If only the right engine is running the airplane will now yaw to the left and vice versa." Didn't the P38 have counter rotating engines? Wouldn't that make a big difference in engine out behaviour? finn |

You should need a big boot full of rudder at high power not to crab. There shouldn't be enough trim to fly feet off the pedals. |

<S> The issue before was that I found out that if you strike the left wing in the ground, the right engine takes damage, striking the right wing in the ground then the left engine takes damage. As such I reversed the engine positions, thinking that they had been previously incorrectly set for the flightmodels, like so many other parameters. It turns out though that the engines x-coordinates regarding their torque-points were correctly set before, but the ground-strike damage code seems to have the parameters reversed for the X-coordinates of the engine's position. As such I've reversed the engine positions back now for the P-38's and Bf 110's so that the torque will now be applied correctly, with the side effect of the right engine taking damage if the left engine hits the ground. I'll have to ask Spindz to see if he can fix the code. Cheers! ![]() /Robert |
