Post subject:  Manned Ack Bug
Today, while flying online, I noticed CM +bollok manning ack at some fields we were bombing. He was killing a lot if players, even when manning mg's. The rate of fire from the manned ack was very high. So, I checked it out. There is a bug in the manned ack. All the guns (mg, 20mm, 40mm, and 88mm) have a huge rate of fire. Here is a short video illustrating this with the 20mm.


And WTG bollok for taking advantage of this bug over and over. You are a quality Community Manager.

I saw the huge amount of tracers flying from 3 miles away last night and wondered what the hell is going on. Looked like a mini-gun rate of fire. Figured it was some new dweeb finding a bug and taking advantage of it.

Good find, sir! This must be a side effect from the recent code change that fixed the rate of fire for defensive bomber gunners when manned by the player. For many buffs these guns previously had an incorrect rate of fire (usually to slow). I've checked the tanks and Skdf's and their cannons rate of fire seems ok. I've emailed Dan so he should hopefully be able to look into it this week.

Manned ack release rate fault (as result of recent code change) was identified and tested the other night to determine current ROF for each gun.
