Chunky,

YOUTUBE vids have not been working for a long time.. since PHPBB version 3.2


I understand this is how you fix it..

Installation:

1. Download and unzip the current release.
2. Upload the extracted package in to the ext directory of your phpBB board.
3. Navigate in the ACP to Customise -> Manage extensions.
4. Look for phpBB Media Embed under the Disabled Extensions list, and click its Enable link.
5. Set up and configure by navigating in the ACP to Posting -> Media Embed.

Requirements: phpBB 3.2.0 or newer

ACP being the admin control panel!

It works for me without a problem. Instead of the whole link you only use the numbers in the link with youtube*********/youtube in brackets where needed.

You don't just see a large white square instead of the video preview ?

All YOUTUBE preview links look like this to me in the forum...

broken / white square only

I see nothing...

I don't understand, all my forum settings seem ok - I didn't change anything

I have posted many embedded you tube vids before.

Now I cannot see them anymore.

Same issue on the S3 forum

Nope - Unable to embed you tube videos or view ones posted by others.

I see the video you posted as well. The information on the ACP is correct and set properly.
