T-6 painted to look like a FW190. Pilot walked away.

The pilot was removed from the aircraft, and no other vehicles were involved, the agency said. Footage from the scene shows firefighters extinguishing flames that consumed the body of the plane. The pilot, who has 30 years of experience and flies for commercial airlines, walked away having only singed his hair from the fire.

Yeah. When it first came on the news here all you could see were the crosses on the wings and the white swirl on the prop spinner which at the time looked like a 190 (which they were trying to emulate it turns out).. The rest had already burned up and since we have several vintage aircraft locally it fit the bill. Glad it turnes out ok for all .. well except the plane that is,..
