I was working so well doing a skin for the new Yak9U and
a big cat scratched my hand and then this happened,
ruining all my efforts.

Just Kidding!

Just need to do all the rivets and lines for top wing and fuselage, weathering, etc.

Just curious, what are those white circles on the top wings? Those are huge on the
default skin, so I'm making them 75% smaller.

Image

I'm gonna have to smooth out some of the top wing panel lines. It seems they are
not very much visible on this plane. Advise if you know better. Still fiddling a bit
with the colors.

Nice Iart7 :). Theose circles are located right above the large wing fuel tanks of the Yak-9, so probably hatches for refueling?

Actually they are fuel GAUGES. Yes the fuel gauges are in the top surface of the wing.

Full detail here.

Robert,

This plane will be ready by tomorrow and I'll get it to Bollock then.
I just need to enlarge the "36" and make the small stars on the top
row smaller so they don't stretch up too much.

I was getting ready to make a screenshot when this P-38 showed up
on a pass to try to shoot Georgy down. Nothing PhotoShopped here.

Hey skin fans,

Can anyone tell me why there are 19 victories marked as red stars on the fuselage? I assume they are Nazi kills, because this plane fought in Germany.

The reason for the red stars on USSR airplanes is that the Soviet military did not want
to "defile" their equipment with Nazi symbols. They used the red stars to show the
victories over their enemies.
