Guys, I've been dealing with some health issues and have been mostly too tired to play much of any game, even warbirds. However, I am feeling better now, and depending what option the surgeon and cardiologists agree upon- and the date they set for the surgery- I hope to be back in the game on a semi-regular basis. Right now, I feel well enough to work and I'm back teaching High School, but I get very tired by the end of the day. I'm going to try Warbirds this week and see if I can handle the stress levels. It's been a tough go since I left in the fall; between ticker troubles and the death of my Dad, I haven't felt much like playing. However, after reading about Dewolf's passing, and noting the passing of a couple of other old friends in the game, I wish I'd been able to stay in the game. Flight models, game play... when we lose the really good guys I'm missing today... those things seem pretty unimportant compared to the pleasure I always found in the company of the warbirders' community. I can't promise I'll be able to play a lot, but I'll be around, starting soon. finn |

Hey welcome back, I have been gone awhile myself, couldn't hold a JS without my arthritis acting up, lots happening in RL, too tired to play late, numbers are light late PST now. I'm afraid we are venturing into that age where, losing friends, is a given. I have been hanging out on AGW, that's mostly off topic stuff, but old players get info when players pass. I try to cross post if I can. We have a blue skies thread now. On a more positive note, Meteor has been seen in the ourVR skies after, well a long time, ten years I think he said, so if you see him flying, welcome him back. Poww is back testing the air as well, hmm don't remember his new call. |

Hi Finn <S> hope you are feeling better soon. I am in the UK so I have to wait up until very late at night in order to play against the greatest numbers of opponents as during the day here the maximum numbers online barely reach double figures! So many of the excellent members here appear to be from the USA which timezone-wise is -5 to -9 hours from GMT so this cannot be helped. However I suffer from bipolar disorder so I have to be extremely careful about waiting up until all hours because this requires medication and adequate rest. Added to which I cannot really play once I have taken my medication as it impairs my performance. So you are far from alone in having to balance health with WB in life. I therefore wish you well and hope that you are able to make a successful return as the last time I played on July 11th 2017 (Greece Map MA) there was absolute carnage which tested my skills severely - only way to learn though  )

Thanks guys, I'll be fine.. just waiting for them to decide how best to fix my ticker. Stents or bypass. Doctors can't agree and I'm in friggin limbo waiting. finn |
