Considering moving the S3 from Sunday evenings (2030hrs EDT/EST) to Sunday afternoons (1500hrs EDT/EST) to make them a bit more Euro friendly. If you plan on participating in the S3s please vote your preference on the S3 forum. 2030hrs or 1500hrs? Thank-you. |

It seems like the numbers are highest on fridays. Maybe S3 should move to friday? |

Raksan, Thank-you for your suggestion. Weekdays are a challenge as they effectively force any event into a later time slot, i.e. evening. With the current 2030 EDT/EST time slot, players on the west coast of North America are still returning home from work, or just having returned home from work are having domestic time with their families. Events can not be held earlier on a Friday to accommodate European players as most people in North America would still be at work (or school for much younger players). Weekends allow players more flexibility to adjust their personal schedules to participate. I'm fairly certain the S3s gravitated to Sundays because the original organizers were Canadian and wanted their Saturday evenings free to watch Hockey Night in Canada. That is still the case for me. At this point in time, over 20 players appeared to have viewed the poll on the S3 site. Only 2 have voted, both indicating maintaining status quo. Response to the poll is not very encouraging with respect to player interest. |
