I need to get back in touch with Promod (from Jg51)...he is...wait for it...a PROfessional MODeler. I want to pick his brain. IIRC, he built some dioramas for the Pearl Harbor museum.
Swanee-san...in my sig file below are links to three other builds...a Yokosuka KY5Trainer (IJN's version of a Stearman), another corsair, White 576, and a Curtiss.
And to Arturo's point, on the White 576 and Curtiss, you can see what happens when you have a bad brush/air pressure combination. Textured skin similar to low grit sand paper.
