btw my hit ratio kills for sortie improving with the time.... not just for one year!!

BTW in the video Mirlox link...everyone notice I don't look to match the crosshair with the enemy plane....I just aim for a bit
in front ….so the enemy just meet my burts.

I never questioned your ability, or combat maneuvering skills. in fact I stated you are very good at that. My problem is the invulnerability. Not taking as much damage as you should. At least from my FE.

I have read through this thread and wonder why the frustrations are directed at Prime, versus the white elephant, old-code network connectivity?

Ive flown with and against Viva Zapata for some many years now and rarely seen anything that would lead me to think he's manipulating the game code for advantage. Further, the guy has learned English to communicate better with his squaddies. I know 10 Japanese words to talk with Kazy and Zank, and my old brain does not have the plasticity to retain what I learn, anymore.

So while all the anecdotes do point towards something...they eschew from what I think is the real reason for anomalies...old code.

P.S. - I respect and enjoy flying with and against everyone in this thread...and am just weary with coming back to the game we all love and seeing yet another 'bashing' thread.

Using a low resolution version does'nt give an advantage, as far as I know. Prime is a pain in the sky, he really is, for a reason : SKILL!
Get over with.

I remember my first time being told I was cheating! I thought that it was a great accomplishment! I finally reached a level of skill that warranted someones admiration with no other explanation than I had to be cheating to get the drop on them! It was one of the best days of my flying career. The best part was that I really was not that good! It made me laugh and still does.

I think a lot of these cheating allegations would go out the window if IEN would lower the acceptable lag on a connection. As I understand it, and god knows I've been wrong before, the game currently allows players in with lag of up to 6 or 7 seconds. Even the soi-disant 'smoothing code' can't cope with that.
Lag and lost packets mean that what you see isn't necessarily what the other guy saw, or did.
The other night in my view, Prime shot me from below and beside me going in the opposite direction. In his view, it was a dandy deflection/T-bone shot.
My only comment (to him privately) was "our lag is a bugger tonight". I know damn' well Prime isn't a cheat. He's a good guy, period.
We'll always have lag as long as our com to the game is limited by the speed of light and slowed by a multitude or routers enroute. But reducing the acceptable lag might help reduce the worst effects of it.

(another thought- we could have an alternate arena for players with excessive lag, and keep our legacy play arena at a lower allowable lag limit.)

Jitter is most likely the cause, esp. if your ping is low (30-50). Any ping over 100 isn't good for gaming. WIFI connects are a whole different ballgame. Anyone using WIFI ... well I better not say it.

I tried classic mode Mirlox. The only advantage I see is in ground attack. There are fewer trees and GV's and targets are easier to see.
I saw zero performance advantage. Maybe it's different for others. But that's my experience.
