Can you post a screen shot of what the ground looks like ?

this is what Ardennes looks like on the normal PC version
the green trees are clutter.

you can see from the higher alt shot how they render in square fashion at a certain set distance from you.
beyond that is just snow, no trees.

I cannot replicate the jitter, ground bubble up & down, geometric flashes in a screen shot.

As we can see from the above screenies, the random placement of those trees is comical, really.. Kinda like the clouds, are either really necessary considering they detract and not add to the experience? The clouds appear, then disappear, then reappear always rotating and not synced...Trees everywhere and each one the same as the other which you can fly through with no penalty. And, all of this at the expense of framerates, the life blood of the game experience..I mean, why>?
On my FE, the trees shimmer and are not in perspective with the surrounding terrain. They are way to visable from 10k (should be like little bushes not still 300 ft tall looking) and they are rendered as far as you can see out.,. this causes an immediate stutter and add in the part time clouds, its just weird..
We used to have a toggle for .weathereffects on/off . This plus the .clutterdistance xxxx gave the user some ability to inv=crease FR's .. perhaps a return to this ?

No changes. What is the ETA of a fix?

Booner your screen effects seem to be separate from the general FPS drain.

I know you have described many times. Is there any time where it does not show?
Does it do it at all resolutions?
Offline?
All planes?
Any chance of using an earlier version of WB offline and see?

Anything to eliminate variables to isolate this particular issue, even an event or set of circumstances that make it worse would help.

the ability to turn off triple buffer is unusual. I cannot replicate it on any of a number of macs with all OSs EXCEPT 10.13.X (High Sierra) {I don't run it, not fond of yet}.

I am using a MacBook Pro, it has 1GB NVIDIA GeForce card in it, meets all the minimum requirements, but I often have the video problem described here. After MUCH trial and error, I have boiled it down to one last test, before I too will have to resign from WB due to the fact that it just isn't fun when the video lets you down at crucial times.

Here is what I need to test this. WB support can duplicate this issue 100% of the time:
- WB supposedly gives you the ability to 'turn off' triple buffering
- we need to turn triple buffering off to see if it will help
- on a Mac, every time, turning off triple buffering does not 'stick' in the settings. When you come back in the game, triple buffering is checked on the initial screen, and backed up by being checked in the Settings screen also. You cannot turn it off.

It seems rational to assume that this option should be available to MacBook users to help us determine if giving up some quality will allow smoother video. -countt

Are you able to:

turn triple buffering on / off in your PC video card settings?
turn vsync on / off in your PC video card settings?

You can try that if the "in game" settings are not working.

For terrains I would maybe try blitz terrain. It has lots of clutter but very short view distance for textures. Notice how hazy it is? If there are no problems there maybe its texture size and not clutter.
For clutter try Greece. It has no clutter designed in it so it should work offline.
